Risen Together

Ephesians 2:4-6 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

This weekend, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! We celebrate His victory over sin, death and the grave! In Ephesians chapter one, Paul magnifies this place where Jesus has been seated, at the right hand of the Heavenly Father. Far above all principalities and powers and might and dominion, and every named that is named. When God raised Jesus from the dead, it wasn’t just Jesus that He raised, He also raised us up with Him!

Ephesians chapter two says that “He raised us up together and made us together in the heavenly places in Christ.” We don’t just celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, we also celebrate the truth that He resurrected us too! Our new identity is found in what Jesus has done. He has qualified us and made us worthy. There is no sin too great, no past too dark that the blood of Jesus cannot reach and redeem! We don’t have to identify with our past, we can identify with who Jesus has made us to be; righteous, holy, justified, and worthy to be seated next to Him in heavenly places.

We don’t have to be defined by our past anymore, because Jesus has set us free! Let’s take our place in Christ Jesus, seated with Him, also far above all principalities, and powers, and might and dominion and every named that is named!

Praise God for what He has done for us, in us and through us!

Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.

Blessings,

Chloe
