We have the Right to use His Name

Acts 3:16, “And on the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.”

Faith in the Name of Jesus empowered that crippled man to rise up and walk!

Jesus said to His disciples that whatever you ask in My Name, I will do it. (John 14:12). That doesn’t apply just to the disciples, but it applies to us too!

There is power in the name of Jesus, and that power is released when we put faith in His name and act on it. Peter and John knew the power that was in the Name of Jesus, they knew that they had the authority to use that name, but it wasn’t until they declared it and acted upon what they believed that the power was released and that crippled man walked.

We, too, have the right to use the Name of Jesus! We, too, have the right to declare His name in our lives and in our circumstances. Whether that be over oppression, sickness, anxiety, worry, fear, or depression, all of those things must bow their knee to the name of Jesus.

We don’t want to use the Name of Jesus flippantly; it’s not some religious phrase we use when closing a prayer. The Name of Jesus holds the power to change situations, and when we believe, speak and act on what His Name represents that we see the manifestation of the power of God in our lives.

I encourage you this week to meditate upon Acts chapter 3, what happened when Peter and John declared the Name of Jesus, and how it impacted that city. We have the same rights and authority as they did, and we can see those same results in our lives.

Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.

Blessings,

Chloe
