I am the Door
John 10:7 -9“So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door of the sheep; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved and go in and out and find pasture.”
Jesus is the door; it is through Him that we have access to the Father and everything that the Father has for us. Many people try to get to God through their own efforts and goodwill, however, Jesus said so Himself, that He is the door, and it is through Him that we go in and out and find pasture. Everything we would ever need, He, Jesus, is the access.
1 Timothy 2:5 says, “For there is one God, and there is one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.”
It is important to remind ourselves when we commune with God that we are not going to God based on our works, feelings, status, or anything else that is based on self-effort; we come to God through Jesus Christ.
How wonderful it is to have a relationship with the Creator Himself, that He is always accessible to us through our Lord and Saviour. It has always been the Father’s heart to have fellowship with His children, and the only way that we and God could have that closeness was to ensure our righteousness was sealed in blood. Not the blood of bulls and goats, that was only a covering for sin, God wanted His children to be restored to His original intention: rightness, holy and pure. The only way that could be accomplished was through the blood of the sinless, spotless lamb of God, Jesus Christ.
When Jesus declared, “I am the door”, He was proclaiming that He is the only way to the Father; he is the access point to the pasture of provision that we so greatly require.
Whatever the need is in your life, remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to the Father and His supply for His children.
Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.
Blessings,
Chloe
