I Am the Good Shepherd
John 10:10-11 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly. I am the good Shepherd; the good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep."
Jesus is our good Shepherd. He is faithful to call, lead, provide, and protect us. As His sheep, we hear when He calls, follow where He guides, and enjoy His provision.
We don't have to be fearful that we won't or can't hear His voice. Jesus said that His sheep do know His voice and a stranger they will not follow. (John 10:4-5). Since Jesus said that we do know His voice, our response is, "I am His sheep, and I do know His voice."
He is faithful to lead us and show us which way to go. Psalm 32:8 says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye."
We don't have to be afraid that we can't hear or understand His leading, He will make sure that we hear. It is our responsibility to be open to what He is saying, and when we do hear, to be faithful to follow His leading.
We don't have to look for outward signs and audible voices; the voice of our Shepherd speaks through the Spirit to our spirit. (John 16:12-14). The more time we spend with Him, reading and meditating on His Word, the more familiar we will be with how He sounds and the way He speaks.
I want to encourage you this week to say what Jesus said about you, you can say, "I am His sheep, I do know His voice and a stranger I will not follow,"
Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.
Blessings,
Chloe
