The First Principles of the Kingdom of God
Colossians 1:15-18 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.”
A kingdom is a place where a king has dominion and reigns. It’s where his will and purposes are done. The Kingdom of God is where God’s purposes and will are accomplished. Jesus prayed, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10). Jesus prayed that the Father’s purposes in heaven would be fulfilled on the earth. There are principles in which the Kingdom of God operates that we need to learn so we can function properly as sons and daughters of the Most High God.
Before we were Born Again, we were in the kingdom of darkness. We were under the power and control of satan, who used blindness and deception to keep us under his control. But thanks be to God, who shines the Light of the glorious Gospel so we can see the truth! Once we received Jesus as Lord of our lives, we were then taken out of the kingdom of darkness and transferred into His Kingdom, the Kingdom of His beloved Son! (Colossians 1:13)
We don’t have to wait till we get to heaven to live in the blessings of the Kingdom of God; Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is within us (Luke 17:21), and just as Jesus prayed, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We are called to learn the principles of God’s Kingdom so we can implement God’s will here on the earth. You and I can play a part in answering Jesus’ prayer. We can be the ones to ensure that the Father’s will and purposes are being accomplished here on earth,
Let’s grow together in our understanding of the principles of the Kingdom of God and how His Kingdom operates!
Remember, we love you, and we are praying for you.
Blessings,
Chloe
