Often times many of us feel a little like the Canaanite woman; we are unsure of what right we have to ask anything of God. Are we the ‘dog under the table’ or are we the children who have rights to the bread being served at our Father’s table?

If our prayers are to get results- we need to align ourselves with God and then cooperate with his will in prayer.

Many people will say, “If God wants you to have it, you’ll get it.” Yes, God is sovereign and because he’s sovereign it’s not for us to tell God how our relationship with him is going to work. God has said, “Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open to you.”

To gain our new “In Him” realities, we have to lay aside any claim that we have to self righteousness. We are either ‘In Christ” or we are living by our own righteousness, as though we were still “In Adam”.

When Jesus rose from the dead, God swapped out the old model of mankind for a totally new model.

We are made in God’s image, to reflect His glory on the earth.

We’ve all had life experiences that we know aren’t ‘God’s best’, and watched others suffer spiritually, emotionally and physically in ways we know are also not ‘God’s best’ for them.

The Hundredfold Hearer lives a life with fruit that only the Word of God can produce.

Love covers a multitude of sin. Through patience, gentleness, forgiveness, bearing all things, believing the best in people and enduring all things, we shield people from the effect of sin. We show grace and allow God to work in their lives.

Love will make what we say, who we are and what we achieve of eternal significance. Without the love of God empowering our lives we are a nobody, going nowhere and making a huge fuss about getting there!

Many of the experiences and the beliefs we have about love fall short of the genuine love of God.

Fears and insecurities that have been part of our lives since we first experienced rejection limit our ability to comprehend the love of Christ. This love deficit brings about symptoms of sin and rejection that hinder our spiritual, emotional and physical well being.

Nike are lucky that intellectual property laws weren't around in the 1st century, because leading up to Jesus’ first public miracle, his mother spoke the now famous phrase- “Whatever Jesus says, JUST DO IT!”

As Christian’s we are called to grow into that full-flavoured aromatic, victorious loving Christian. When we walk into a room, or when we open our mouths, the sweet smell of victory in Jesus Christ overwhelms the stench of death!
